had a really great weekend, although it will prolly sound really mundane written down in a blog.

my mum, dad, nanny and grandad came up to visit, which was really cool. haven’t seen them for a couple of months. conversational highlights included chicken poo pellets and how placentas are really good for your roses. we went out for a meal at our favourite mighty nice pub and i paid for everyone (!).

on sunday we were very middle class and did some gardening. carl cut the grass (yey, it’s long enough to cut now) and i dug over our vegetable patches and planted lettuce, carrot, spring onion and sprouts seeds. poo knows if i have done it right or not though. will soon see. it’s all very exciting (i’m not being sarcastic either, i /am/ excited about it). we got some big ready planted flower pots for the front of our house to try and keep up with our neighbours. they are very pretty.

on sunday evening we followed the bells through kirkby and found a really nice parish church just up the road from us. we had lost all hope of finding anything nice in kirkby. this was a really significant moment in our weekend because we agreed that this church was the one we would like to get married in. i could imagine pulling up outside there and stepping out in my beautiful size 10 dress (diet starts now i guess). we also decided that for our honeymoon we would like to do a little tour of france with our tent. all we need now is to decide on a place for the reception and find a pot of gold so we can start arranging things. that would be wonderful. would really like to get things moving soon.
