i’m waiting to give a talk to the clinical research team in the psychology department. i know them all, there are only going to be a few there to see it, it’s a very informal environment and i have done this talk lots of times before now, but i feel really nervous. i’m really annoyed at this. how dare my tummy make me feel so bad so unnecessarily. never mind. be done soon and then i can go home.

happy things, wedding plans are moving on at quite a fast pace now. we know what church we are getting married at and we have chosen the reception place. we just have to wait for them to get back to us about dates they are available. we have drawn up the guest list too now. can’t wait until we have a proper date to aim for. then we can start looking at things like dresses and all that.

in a couple of weekends time there is a wedding fair at the nec that we are going to go to. birmingham arts fest is on the same weekend which my brother is going to be playing at (mike bethel if anyone wants to go see him). he is an excellent guitarist and so we will be going to see him play too.

it’s august now wooo. it’s my birthday in 20 days on the bank holiday. when it’s my birthday everyone gets the day off.

my mum and dad are coming this weekend to visit. should be fun, haven’t seen them for a few weeks. taking them to newstead abbey because mum will love the gardens.

nothing much has happened here, apart from eating lots of chinese food and discovering that it’s really really nice. phd stuff is going slow since things have been breaking or getting lost. hope things get better soon. no one has collapsed in front of me yet so i haven’t had to remember any life saving techniques. and..um..that’s about it really. hmm.
